Chris Hayes Named CMO at Y&R

Chris Hayes, the European marketing director at Euro RSCG 4D, will be joining Young & Rubicam as its North American CMO. Hayes will be filling a role left vacant after the previous CMO, Mitch Caplan, accepted the North American CMO position at Interpublic Group's McCann Erickson.

While serving as marketing director at Euro's digital agency in Amsterdam, Hayes played a role in bringing in new clients such as Adidas, Danone and Unilever.  Hayes also served as global brand director on Unilever and held previous roles at Euro earlier in his career that included SVP of marketing services at Euro RSCG 4D in New York and GM of PR unit Middleburg Euro RSCG.

Hayes' new responsibilities will include agency positioning, client prospecting, new business pitches and public relations duties. He will report to Tom Sebrok, president and CEO of North America, when he assumes his new position in November. Sebrok cited Mr. Hayes' energy, entrepreneurial spirit, depth of experience and creativity as factors leading to the hire.
